Pixies, The Gathering and Ninja Tunes...
Oct. 28th, 2010 08:34 amI'm feeling an enthusiasm for music that I haven't felt for a long time. Here are some recommendations:
If you are on the Pixies mailing list they are offering you a free download of their 2004 Coachella gig (for a limited time only).
I love the way they sign off their emails,
'La La Love You,
PIXIES'

The Gathering have joined Bandcamp and are offering free downloads from each of their releases. There are some holes in my collection, which these downloads have reminded me I need to fill. I'm particularly fond of Like Fountains but there's much to enjoy here.

And, because I like to try different things, I've also downloaded the Ninja Tune Label Of The Month but I haven't listened to yet. It's free from Amazon and I really enjoyed the Sub Pop compilation they gave away recently. It's worth keeping an eye on the MP3 Download part of the site, which is why they do it I guess...
