A quest for self improvement...
Jun. 4th, 2007 02:28 pmI'm reading What You Can Change and What You Can't: Learning to Accept What You Are: The Complete Guide to Successful Self-Improvement by Martin Seligman. I'm finding fascinating. The main thrust of the narrative is that there are some aspects of ourselves that we can improve and some we are stuck with. At the moment the author's talking about the culture of self-improvement being a recent invention. I’ve always erred on the side of 'nurture' rather than 'nature' believing that one should take responsibility for one's actions. So, in the spirit of self improvement does anyone have any hints or tips for me? I'm constantly searching for ways to improve the mood and productivity of those around me. For example I want to make the most of the money I earn, which is why I'm regular visitor to http://www.moneysavingexpert.com and http://www.quidco.com if you haven't visited either site you should really investigate. Are there any things I'm not doing that you think I should do? Or are there things I do that you think I shouldn't. Are there any websites like the one that I should be aware of that contain information that will improve my life?
